We are living within networks. One of the most intense networks we live in is the city. We think we can by moving to rurality - the desert. But, we can’t escape the city - the stimuli will find you. The needs that the city provides don't go away, and we find ourselves bringing them back to us. Limiting the desert as we do today with the kibbutz, we only invite the stimuli to it. The challenge is to maintain the emptiness. To use it, and support a large number of people. To plan the emptiness.
