Why are we constantly passively facing information in the streets?

Information, whether in the form of advertisements or other, is constantly mixed with the architecture of cities. But what would happen if we start  actively interacting with the information that is surrounding us? 

Megapixel is a utopian project, where pixels are invading the streets to create three dimensional spaces where we are actively interacting with information.
